This Explicit Consent Statement has been prepared under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) by the data controller, Podologist Aysu Şen (Atatürk Mahallesi, Atapark Caddesi, Atapark Konutları C3 Blok Daire: 2, Ataşehir / Istanbul – podologaysusen@gmail.com), in order to obtain your explicit consent for the processing activities described below.

Before giving your consent, please read the Privacy Notice under Law No. 6698, which explains in detail how your personal data is processed.

1. Processing health data for appointments and care

Some health information is needed so that podological assessment and foot care can be carried out safely and in a way that suits you. The data that may be processed includes:

  • Your foot-related complaints and how long you have had them;
  • Information about long-term conditions such as diabetes or circulation problems;
  • Your statements about medication you take and any known allergies;
  • Pregnancy status;
  • Podological assessment and care notes;
  • Photographs of your feet, taken only to follow your care and never published.

This data is processed to schedule your appointment, create a personalised care plan, carry out care, conduct follow-up visits and, where necessary, advise you to see a physician.

2. Contact via WhatsApp

WhatsApp may be used to receive appointment requests, confirm and remind you of appointments, and send follow-up messages after care. WhatsApp is a service provided by Meta Platforms, and information shared through it (including your name, phone number, message content and any health information or photos you choose to share) may be processed on servers located outside Türkiye. This transfer falls under Article 9 of the KVKK.

Using WhatsApp is optional; you may prefer to contact us by phone, email or in person.

3. Sharing information with a physician

Only if you ask, your podological assessment notes may be shared with a physician you are referred to. Your approval is obtained separately each time.

Giving consent is voluntary. However, without basic information about your health, it may not be possible to carry out a safe podological assessment and procedure. If this is the case, you will be told.

You may withdraw your consent at any time using the application methods set out in the Privacy Notice or by writing to podologaysusen@gmail.com. Withdrawal applies to processing after the date of withdrawal and does not affect processing lawfully carried out before it. Your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK remain reserved.
